Filey is a very popular small seaside town with a population of approximately seven thousand located between Scarborough and Bridlington on the North Yorkshire coast. Filey bay offers seven miles of sandy beach reaching from the rocky projection of the Brigg at the top to Bempton cliffs and bird santuary and Flamborough Head at the southern end. The North Yorkshire Moors and the historic city of York are within easy access of this part of the coast.
Hunmanby is a large village with a population of approximately three and a half thousand located just three miles inland from Filey and nine miles from both Scarborough and Bridlington. The village offers a wide range of shops, chemist, doctors' surgery and health centre, dentists, optician, library, community centre, Post Office, Primary School, two churches, a sports and social club together with both bus and train services.
